A Statement From the CEO
Modern slavery and human trafficking are global crimes that abuse a person’s rights and freedom. We take a zero-tolerance stance and are committed to continually improving our policies, standards and processes to ensure that these abuses do not take place in our business or our supply chain.
INTRODUCTION
This statement is made on behalf of Hanson Wade Ltd (a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 06752216) in compliance with section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and provides an overview of the steps taken to assist in the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains or any part of our business.
Hanson Wade is a business intelligence company delivering world-leading events and data products within the Life Science, HR and Construction industries.
BUSINESS SUPPLY CHAINS
We establish relationships of trust and integrity with our suppliers during the procurement process and thereafter.
However, we recognise that there is a higher risk of modern slavery within the following categories of supplier. These are typically businesses that can pay lower wages and may rely on labour from outside the country.
- Contracted venues for our events
- Providers of facilities management services
- Overseas businesses supplying outsourced business processing services
OUR POLICIES ON MODERN SLAVERY
Hanson Wade operates the following policies and process that help us to ensure that modern slavery does not take place in our business or supply chain:
- Speak Up Policy: We operate a whistleblowing policy that encourages employees to speak up when they see any wrongdoing.
- Code of Ethics: We have a code of ethics published on our website and applies to all our suppliers, business partners, and employees.
- Recruitment Process: We operate a robust recruitment process which includes conducting eligibility to work in the UK checks for all employees.

We will strive to continually improve our policies, standards and processes that mitigate against the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.
